Luís Gomes
He studied at the National Conservatory, and graduated at the Escola Superior Música de Lisboa, at the Conservatory of Rotterdam , and he as also a Master in Psychology and Pedagogy of Music by the FCSH Universidade Nova de Lisboa.
Luis Gomes obtained several prizes and has been Jury at several National and International Competitions.
He played with the Jeunesses Musicales World Orchestra, the Mediterranean Youth Orchestra, New Philharmonia Portuguesa, Sinfónica Juvenil and Youth Portuguese Orchestra.
He played as a soloist with: ORCHESTRUTOPICA, Cascais and Oeiras Orchestra, the Lisbon Contemporary Music Group and Symphonic Band PSP.
He collaborates with: Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, the Portuguese Symphonic orchestra, Orchestrutopica, Sinfonietta de Lisboa and Lisbon Metropolitan orchestra.
He is Member of Lisbon Clarinet Quartet, the Lisbon Contemporary Music Group and director of CULTIVARTE Cultural Association.
He is clarinet teacher at the the National Conservatory and Évora University.
Luís Gomes is a Selmer Paris artist (clarinets), D’addario Woodwinds (reeds) and Wi&Fi (mouthpieces).
